The Band

Ryan Shenk has been a saxophonist for virtually all his life. He studied both Classical and Jazz through college and played pop/experimental jams with countless other bands and musicians. He is thankful for a broad musical experience. Joining The Faux Minx has been a long-awaited release for the ideas and influences given by Branford Marsalis, Joshua Redman, Bob Mintzer, Kirk Whalum, and the late Michael Brecker.

Mike Mink has been playing piano for twenty-five years and just recently finished a nine year stint at the American Music Theatre. Mike has played locally with bands like Jack Shift and The Sleeping World. If you have ever been to a Phillies game, it was Mike Mink that you heard playing the National Anthem. Mike’s influences are many, but the most notable ones are Herbie Hancock and Bill Evans.

The drums for have been a life long passion, “I feel very much at home when I am playing and a love the essecence of Latin and Jazz.” Matt’s most notable influence would definitely be Clyde Lucas. Matt studied with Clyde Lucas for about six years.

David Green has been playing bass since 1990. His influences are Marcus Miller, Jaco Pastorius, King Crimson, Medesky, Martin and Wood and Miles Davis. He played for President George W. Bush three times in 2004 and McCain in 2008. David is very actively involved with the local music scene in Lancaster recording, producing and playing with local musicians.
